As I come towards the end of my career, and reflecting back on the people who made the biggest difference, Edwin immediately sprang to mind.  I worked for Edwin at Compass Travel (Thomas Cook), where for some reason he saw some potential in me I didn't know I had.  It was him who encouraged me to do an MBA, it was him that introduced me to the BIG Boss (TC's CEO) and supported me making a case for the company to sponsor my studies, giving me a year off to do it, and it was him who waved me off to my new life after graduation with a huge smile.  Taking an MBA changed my life.  From being a sales and marketing person in a small part of Thomas Cook to leading a practice area at one of the Big 4 Consultancy firms, to these days being a University academic and business advisor.  Edwin changed my life.  I will always remember him.  Margaret de Lattre
